I was commissioned to create two art pieces for the Burn Unit at HCMC – Hennepin County Medical Center – in Minneapolis. When I went to see them installed a nurse told me that the children love them because they can see all the colors and touch the shapes. It made me feel good to know that these pieces can help ease their stay in some way.
According to Vicki Hovde of Dorsey Hovde Art Design, “Your piece is the star in the collection. Everyone loves it and can’t resist going up to touch and examine it closely.”
This was a fun project for a beautiful new location and a funky table too!
